In The ZONE Contest
Your Champion enlistments and/or your rave wave ideas can make a world of difference.
There are up to 150 prizes available plus your name will be listed in the Hall of Charter Champions and website/blog recognition.
Four annual prizes of $1000 up to $10,000 provided by corporate sponsors.
Up to Twelve Monthly cash prizes from $25 to $200. Monthly winners are also eligible for annual prizes.
Four Contest Categories:
- Best Rave Wave "Gamechanger" Ideas: Annual and Monthly Winners (eligible if ideas are selected and posted for rave wave). These theme related ideas can include special events, viral videos, music creations, walkathons, birthdays, memorials, holiday etc. etc.
- Most sponsors enlisted: Annual and Monthly Winners (10 sponsors minimum to be eligilble).
- Most celebrity endorsements: Annual and Monthly Winners ( 1 minimum to be eligible).
- Best Theme Related Product Ideas: Annual and Monthly Winners (eligible if product idea is selected for Champions Campaign).
Same idea entries awarded based on date of receipt. (No Providence International Foundation or END POVERTY ZONE staff or board members or corporations are eligible for the prizes).
The First Contestant: Homer is celebrating his 100th birthday this year and he is the first to offer his participation in the Champions Campaign. Here is his letter and challenge to start the rave wave:

My 100th Birthday Wish
Hi, my name is Homer and I celebrate my 100th year of life on planet earth September 20, 2010 at CopperRidge in Redding, California USA.
I have been blessed with a long life, a wonderful wife and family and the joy of giving my time, talent and treasure for causes that transform people’s lives.
My son asked me how I would like to celebrate my birthday. I told him I had a dream of a stadium filled with 100,000 sports fans making a wave that would never end helping transform the lives of families without hope and a future.
I was introduced to the End Poverty ZONE Champions Campaign which can fulfill my dream with your help. I learned that 100,000 “Tickets” to the End Poverty ZONE can free 200,000 families (1 million people) each year from poverty through livelihood loans and savings enterprises and it goes on and on each year to provide livelihoods for a lifetime.
I am blind, so I have asked my son to inform all cyber connected folks of my birthday wish and invite as many sports fans and people of goodwill to join Ambassador Hall and Hall of Fame Coach Tom Osborne in the Champion’s Campaign---with the purchase of a Ticket to the www.EndPovertyZONE.org
I hope to live to see the first 100,000 Charter Champions make a wave and long may it wave to provide a future with hope for the hungry half of our world.

My doctor just put a stethoscope on my chest. I asked her, “How do I stand?” She said, “That is what puzzles me!” She informed me, “You will live to be 100. I told her I am 100 this year and she said, “See! What did I tell you?” As you can see from my picture, I am bald. I tease my barber Kelli for charging me a finder’s fee. She told me some good news, “You definitely qualify for heaven as the Bible says, “There will be no parting there.” Humor is my medicine and I overdoze now and then.
